Why See Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells in Concert?
50th anniversary
Five decades on from its premiere, Mike Oldfield's groundbreaking work Tubular Bells celebrates its 50th anniversary, being performed in full on tour around the UK this autumn! Led by conductor and frequent collaborator of Oldfield, Robin Smith, the concert will also feature performances of other Oldfield classics, including Family Man, Moonlit Shadow and Summit Day.
Straddling the boundaries of minimalism, progressive rock and ambient music, Tubular Bells gained mainstream fame for its haunting presence in the soundtrack The Exorcist and its success was renewed after a legendary performance at the London Olympics in 2012. Don't miss this rare chance to see the work live!
