Why See Mother Goose?
Flock to see Mother Goose!
Oh yes, he is! That's right, Sir Ian McKellen is returning to pantomime in this brand new production of Mother Goose, heading to stages across the country this winter. His first foray into panto since starring as Widow Twankey in the Old Vic's Aladdin back in 2004, the legendary actor will be joined by John Bishop and Anna-Jane Casey in this new show penned by Jonathan Harvey, with direction from Cal McCrystal.
What is the story?
Kindly old Mother Goose is known throughout the land for her animal sanctuary, where all creatures great and small are welcome. But when one of her charges is enchanted and begins to lay golden eggs, fame and fortune come calling. Will Mother G remain as kind as ever? Or will the promise of treasures untold turn her beak?
A rollicking romp full of ribald jokes, song, dance and more, don't miss Sir Ian and co as they bring this hilarious new panto to you!
